I need the D

How are you?

It’s a simple question, and when people ask it – they don’t really expect to hear anything except, “Fine, and you?”

As a rule, I try not to complain to acquaintances or on social media, but sometimes the honest answer from me would be– “Well, I feel like crap.”48795058

This early spring was the worst in a long time for me. But after most of the sneezing had subsided, I still felt pretty crappy in general, lethargic, etc.

I had some blood work done and it turns out I have a Vitamin D deficiency. Well… duh.. I spend my time indoors to avoid allergic reactions to everything green outside.

In fact, one look at my pasty white legs – should’ve been the first hint of not enough sun exposure.

MjAxMy1lYmE3OGVkZjIzMmJiMDFiNevertheless, I’m back to feeling pretty normal. I’m taking 50,000 units (that can’t be safe, I’m sure) of Vitamin D each week and getting outside for an extra 15-20 minutes a day – besides the usual to and from the car.

So you could say, that ‘I need the D’ and it would be true – and only slightly douchey.

Cheers,
