    I only know the original 3. I remember playing with our pretend light sabers after watching the movie with a couple friends while waiting for a mom to pick us up, way back in 1977. Wow, thanks for taking me back to that memory.
    Anyway, I say true, only one. I have not heard of any Chewie in the sequels, anyway.

    Scoacat is CORRECT – the answer is TRUE. Peter Mayhews is the only actor to play Chewy.
