$17 Waffle Taco
We had been talking at work about the new Waffle Taco breakfast taco at Taco Bell. (How many times can I say taco in one sentence?!) We all agree, that we really like the clever commercial they are playing with Ronald McDonald (see below)- but none of us had tried it yet.
So I decided this morning was going to be the day. I ordered it and a hashbrown at my local Taco Bell drive-thru. Total: $3.23.
The taco comes in a nice box, and has a pack of syrup to pour over it. I’m able to set my hashbrown in the lid of the box… which is nice because if I hit a fast food joint in the morning, I get the sausage/egg/cheese burrito and a hashbrown at McDonalds, and I end up juggling the burrito and the hashbrown, or trying to keep it from sliding off my lap into the crack of the seat and console – aargh!
Well, I’m eating my waffle taco – which is pretty good by the way …. the whole time, not noticing that the syrup I had carefully poured in under the sausage patty was dripping down all over my pink sweater and seat belt…. i look down.. “SH*T!!”
There is no way I’m going to work like this.. I’ve got no time to drive back home – no time for anything really. I pull over into the Walmart (the only place open at this time of day, in this area) parking lot.. Run in, all the while trying to hide my gross, brown splotched, syrupy, sticky, pink sweater with my purse, and grab a top, not even looking/caring about the price.
Long story, short: My Waffle Taco cost me about $17, and made me 10 minutes late for work.
